How Instant Sell works

The end-to-end flow when you sell a skin to Skincash.

Instant Sell is a one-sided trade: you send us your item, we pay you for it immediately. There is no auction, no waiting for a buyer, and the price you see is the price you get.

The flow

  1. 1You pick items and proceed to sell.
  2. 2Skincash assigns one of its bot accounts and sends a Steam trade offer containing your items.
  3. 3You accept the offer in Steam (or via the Steam mobile app).
  4. 4The moment the bot receives the items, the sale amount lands in your Pending balance.
  5. 5After the 8-day Steam Trade Protection hold, the amount moves to Available and is ready to cash out.

Why the 8-day hold

Valve introduced a 7-day window where any sender can unilaterally reverse a trade. If somebody whose account got compromised sent us skins and then reversed the trade, Skincash would be holding a paid balance for items we no longer have. To stay solvent, we mirror Valve's hold with a one-day buffer on our side before crediting the Available balance.

The hold does not reduce what you receive — it only delays when you can withdraw. There is no penalty or fee for waiting out the 8 days.
